We are making progress on the second boat of our pontoon boat fleet – Mahana!

We originally introduced her to you in April, but since then she has been stripped of all things 1984 – except for the original Evinrude outboard engine of course. Dannow has been working diligently with Skipper Dave, and we cannot wait to launch her on Pewaukee Lake.

If you think the Wah Gwaan pontoon boat is decked out in tiki gear, you are in for a treat when this baby hits the water.

Per usual, our mascot – Mack – was there for moral support along with his friend Idgie.*

We are famous!

Kid Tested, Mother Approved

Just like everyone’s favorite KIX cereal, The Pintoon is officially Kid Tested, Mother Approved! (Mack approved, too!)

We took the Wah Gwaan boat for a cruise last weekend on Pewaukee Lake, and it was a big hit! Not only did our guests enjoy themselves, by we were asked “where are the margaritas?” and told “great tunes!” by many fellow boaters.

Our guest of honor came prepared with Babiators and prioritized safety with her fabulous yellow lifejacket. She made sure her best doggy friend, Mack, joined in on the fun as well.

To top off a great day, we also tested out the kid-friendliness of the Wah Gwaan, and discovered the front deck makes for the perfect stroller parking spot.

Sleeping on the Job

Yesterday was a big day for The Pintoon – We launched the first boat on Pewaukee Lake!

The boat’s name is Wah Gwaan, which translates to “What’s up?” in Jamaican. The name was chosen by our owner, Dan Schlax, to set the tone of our boat cruises – casual, friendly and an overall good time!

Our mascot, Mack, joined the Wah Gwaan on its maiden voyage on Pewaukee Lake. It was a little chilly for this Alabama rescue pup, so he guilt tripped Dan into sharing his jacket.

Once all nice and cozy and with the help of the wavy Pewaukee Lake, Mack immediately took a snooze. It was his first day on the job!

April Snow Showers?

We’ve lived in Wisconsin our entire lives, and we still have not gotten use to all the “fake springs” that occur. The weather these past couple weeks has been wild!

We took the pictures below on Saturday and Sunday. What a difference a day makes, eh?

Don’t judge the boat quite yet. She may not look like much now, but come Summer she will be the tiki boat of your dreams. And the second tiki boat in our fleet!

Lake Country, we introduce to you Mahana. She can’t wait to serve you!

We are coming for you, Lake Country!

Summer 2022 will see a familiar tiki boat on Pewaukee Lake under a not-so-familiar name.

In October 2021, The Pintoon purchased the Tikiwaukee business from Pewaukee native, Tara Sonnenberg. The Sonnenberg family started Tikiwaukee in 2020, so Lake Country could have another fun outdoor activity during COVID.

The Pintoon will continue to offer the no worries, island time experience the Tikiwaukee introduced to Pewaukee Lake. The Pintoon’s owner, Dannow Schlax, brings over 18 years of customer experience to the business. His time as a bartender, realtor and event production director make for an excellent combination.
